Modern mattress hygiene covers developed for our range of Melissa mattresses

For our mattresses in the Melissa range, there is a number of different, model-specific hygiene covers to choose from, in the RX series. There are four different models with a zip, and three of them are also available with welded seams.

Prevents liquid ingress

Our RX hygiene covers are liquid-tight to prevent urine, blood and other fluids from penetrating through to the mattress core. At the same time, the hygiene covers are vapour-permeable to reduce the risk of skin maceration.

Adapted for healthcare hygiene requirements

All models have a drip-proof zip for improved hygiene. The covers are made from noiceless, 2-way stretch polyurethane fabric with a zip on three or four sides (RXI-5) for easy removal and re-fitting during washing. They are wipeable and can withstand surface disinfection and washing at 95°C.

Models and their properties:

RX-5* Standard hygiene cover with zip on 3 sides for easy removal and fitting.
RXI-5: Hygiene cover with integrated rescue sheet. The underside has extra high slip resistance to facilitate movement. The underside also has handles on the short and long sides, as well as easily accessible fixing straps in two places, for quick and safe evacuation, allowing for evacuation from both the foot and head ends.
RXH-5* Equipped with handles on the long sides for carrying the mattress without the patient.
RXS-5* Mattress protector for mattress topper. Equipped with elastic bands in each corner to attach to the underlying mattress.

Can be delivered with welded seams and a water-resistant zip (indicated by "-W" in the product name)
