The Järven Rescue Sheet is a device designed to facilitate the rapid and controlled evacuation of a patient in the event of a fire or other hazardous situations. The sheet can be operated by a single person to move the patient quickly and efficiently.
When every second counts, there is no room for compromise.
The fire-resistant sheet is suitable for all types of care facilities where there are beds. The sheet has been tested for fire resistance in accordance with SS 876 00 10 and is placed permanently under the care mattress, where it is secured at each corner.
To promote an ergonomic working posture and reduce the risk of work-related injuries, the Rescue Sheet is fitted with extra-long pull handles on the short sides. This design enables staff to work with a straighter back whilst moving patients.
The fastening straps are orange and fitted with Velcro for securing.
The rescue sheet glides easily on both wet and dry floor surfaces, making it easier to move patients regardless of the surface. The sheet is X-ray transparent and meets stringent fire safety requirements.
SS 876 00 39:2022 – Requirements for safe evacuation
The Swedish the standard SS 876 00 39:2022 has been developed by RISE[1] to ensure that rescue sheets and mattresses designed for evacuation purposes meet the required standards when subjected to extreme stresses.
Hospitals, care homes and public spaces should require that evacuation equipment complies with this standard in order to ensure patient safety and meet the requirements for systematic fire safety management (SBA).
