Soft Euroflex

Flexible hygiene mattress with proven low pressure relief for pressure ulcers categories 1–3

Soft Euroflex is one of our most popular hygiene mattresses in the LENTEX range. It has been specially developed to offer a high level of patient comfort combined with excellent pressure distribution. The mattress has an integrated surface layer with no seams or zips whatsoever, which creates an effective barrier against contamination and simplifies daily hygiene procedures.

Design for pressure distribution and simplified hygiene

Soft Euroflex features a carefully designed foam composition comprising super-soft cold foam, pressure-distributing Flex foam and Waterlily foam. This combination provides a proven low pressure response regardless of the user’s weight and enables good immersion and envelopment. The mattress offers effective pressure equalisation for protruding body parts such as heels and shoulders, meaning that no separate heel zone is required.

The unique LENTEX hygiene cover is laminated directly onto the foam core. The absence of seams and zips reduces the risk of liquids reaching the mattress's interior, while the white surface makes it easier for staff to detect surface contamination.
For environments requiring rapid evacuation, the model is also available as Soft Euroflex XP, which is fitted with a detachable evacuation cover.

STANDARD FOR OBJECTIVE EVALUATION

To obtain an objective assessment of mattresses' pressure distribution properties, RISE[1] developed a measurement method where the actual counter-pressure exerted by a mattress is measured using indenters. The measurement method is described in Swedish standard SS 876 00 13.
Soft Euroflex has been tested by RISE1 according to measurement method SS 876 00 13 and is pressure-relieving up to and including wound category 3.

FAQ

What is the difference between Soft Euroflex and Soft Euroflex XP?

The base mattress is identical, but the Soft Euroflex XP is equipped with an outer, removable evacuation cover. This makes the XP model suitable for care wards where rapid evacuation of bedridden patients is part of the safety plan.

The white surface layer makes it easier for staff to detect any dirt on the surface. The fact that the laminate is also semi-transparent allows staff to inspect the foam core from the outside to detect any hidden contamination through external mechanical damage.
