Melissa 12 is a stable and durable mattress overlay with a thickness of 6 cm, made from highly elastic cold foam. The mattress has been tested according to SS 876 00 13 to ensure good mechanical properties. The mattress is primarily intended for patients with a low to moderate risk of pressure sores, or as a functional top layer.
Thanks to its pressure-distributing properties, the product is designed to serve as a supplementary underlay for an existing healthcare mattress.
To ensure long-term use in demanding healthcare environments, the mattress’s foam core is designed to be both turned and rotated. This mechanical flexibility makes it possible to extend the lifespan of the Melissa 12 mattress topper, as regular rotation and flipping distribute the load over time without altering the material’s pressure-distributing properties or quality in any way.
The mattress topper comes with a liquid-proof and rustle-free RX cover that is adapted to the strict hygiene requirements of the healthcare sector. The cover can be adapted to the specific needs of the facility and is supplied in two different versions: either with elastic bands in the corners to effectively keep the mattress topper in place on the underlay, or in an alternative version completely without elastic bands.

The mattress comes with a two-way stretch, rustle-free hygienic cover (RX cover) made of elastic PU. The cover's elasticity is designed to reduce the risk of shear forces when changing position. It can be supplied either with elastic bands in the corners for fixation, or entirely without elastic bands.
